Frequently Asked Questions

As families send in their $300 deposit, they will be matched up with a litter based on their preferences (male, female; f1 or f1b, color preference, etc.), or they are placed on the wait list in order of deposit receipt for future litters.  As puppies arrive, we contact families to let them know what is available and determine if we have their perfect match.  All deposits are fully refundable, no questions asked, for two years.  We strive to be as flexible as possible to ensure everyone gets the puppy they desire.

Before our puppies are ready to go home, they will be checked by the vet twice, get their dew claws removed and their first round of shots, as well as be dewormed and microchipped.   We also work each day to socialize the puppies as they grow through their first weeks, so they are confident and ready for a new home.  They go home with a blanket that smells like their mom and siblings to ease the transition to their new environment and help  get through the first night or two!   We also send each family home with a few tips in their puppy packet and copies of mom and dad’s registration papers and pictures .

Crate – We recommend a medium sized 30” crate to give your little one room to grow.

Washable bedding for Crate

Food and Water Bowl

Grooming supplies – brush and puppy shampoo

Treats for training – We like Crazy Dog “Mini Train Me”

Lead and collar (small as 9”)

Toys – chew toys.  We like tug ropes and Benebone chew bones

Snuggle Puppy – lots of families rave about this, it especially helps the first few nights as they transition to their new home

We did a lot of research before we started breeding minibernedoodles. They are just great dogs.  They make excellent pets and therapy dogs.  We strive to be the kind of dog breeder where people want to get their puppy.  We have 10 acres, plenty of room for the dogs, even the large Bernese Mountain Dogs, to play.

We recognize that not everyone can travel to our farm in Indiana to pick up their new puppy. We are happy to work with you on the best option for shipping or delivery to you.  If you want to fly to Indiana, we can meet you at Indianapolis Airport with your puppy. We can deliver by ground transportation at the rate of $100 per hour driving time one way. We can also ship through American Airlines Pet Embark program from Indianapolis to eligible destinations, costs vary but average $600-$800. In addition we can deliver by flight nanny, prices vary by destination.

Unfortunately, the puppy breeding business has been especially plagued with scammers, for both the breeders and future puppy owners. For this reason, we encourage everyone to call or text us more than using social media platforms. Also, feel free to schedule a visit and meet us and the puppies in advance. If distance is an issue, we can schedule a FaceTime, or video call to serve the same purpose.  Getting a new puppy should be a happy occasion, so feel free to contact us anytime to ask questions and ensure it all feels right to you.
